CERTIFICATE IN WORKING WITH THOSE WITH LEARNING DIFFICULTIES.

LDIA

The Certificate in Working with Those with Learning Disabilities is a qualification aimed at those care workers who support people with learning disabilities. It forms part of the LDIA (Learning Difficulties Introduction Award)  framework, with registration and completion of Units 001, 002, 003, 004  as well as the full award.

In order to support learners successfully, L.A.C.C.A.T. Services Ltd offers an approach which ensures learners receive support that is appropriate to their needs and is not intrusive to the People Who Use the Service. This is achieved through the use of peripatetic support, which is provided by a named person from L.A.C.C.A.T. Services Ltd. This person is an expert in the field of Working with Those with Learning Disabilities and has experience of working within the sector.

This support is delivered within the workplace, on a one to one basis, ensuring that learners receive on-going support that meets their needs. This support remains in place until the learner completes the qualification. Learners are supported to complete workbooks, which are provided by L.A.C.C.A.T. Services Ltd.

L.A.C.C.A.T. Services Ltd provides all the learning materials and portfolio documentation. Learners are registered with City & Guilds and on average, candidates are completing Units 001, 002, 003 and 004 in 4 months.

The cost of EACH unit is £70 which includes:

  • All learning materials

  • All portfolio documentation
