Who are we?

We are an assessment centre (L.A.C.C.A.T. Services Limited) and a training centre (L.A.C.C.A.T. Training Services Limited) that specialise in supporting organisations and individuals within the Care industry.

Lesley Chennells, managing director, formed the company in 2004 and was joined by co-director Norma Chennells.

There has been a steady increase of N.V.Q awards that are approved by City and Guilds and O.C.R. The number of care related training sessions has also seen an increase within the L.A.C.C.A.T training room or external within the care establishments or chosen venues.

This increase of provision in both areas has largely been achieved and secured by the positive, creative and committed attitude of our trainers and assessors.

Our Vision

L.A.C.C.A.T. is founded upon the principles that everyone should have access to training, learning and assessment. To, also, be supported within their individual learning style in order to reach their full potential and career goals.

Award Winners

L.A.C.C.A.T. Services Limited has won a prestigious award from South Tyneside Enterprise Partnership (S.T.E.P. awards). This award was for “Best Employment Solution” for 2005.

Where will training and/or assessment take place?

Training sessions for groups of care staff can be facilitated within the work place or in our fully equipped training suite on our premises in Jarrow.
All N.V.Qs and related awards will be assessed in the workplace by a qualified peripatetic assessor.

How far will we travel?

L.A.C.C.A.T. Services Limited provides assessment services throughout the North East region.

L.A.C.C.A.T. Training Services Limited provide training at the venue of choice of the care provider within the North East.
